Threads of Identity—African Textiles explores how cloth carries memory, status, and creativity across West Africa and the diaspora. From hand-woven Aso-Oke and symbolic Kente to indigo-dyed Adire and modern Ankara prints, textiles tell stories of makers, markets, ceremonies, and change. This exhibit highlights materials, techniques, and cultural uses through images and tools, from weaving towns and dye pits.
